Akumin Rowlett is seeking a Patient Coordinator to ensure a positive patient experience through registration, insurance verification, and clear communication about procedures. You will greet patients, answer calls, and coordinate with clinical staff to keep workflows smooth and compliant with HIPAA.

The role involves assisting patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions, transporting patients when needed, and maintaining accurate records across electronic systems and paper documents.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Six months customer service or related experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems and verify insurance coverage or authorization.
• Answer calls professionally and courteously; collect time-of-service payments as needed.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions and assist in transport to/from exam rooms.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic systems and written documents.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain documentation for physicians and patients.
