Job summary

Family Health Center – Southwest Indiana is seeking a Registration Coordinator I to serve as the first point of contact for patients, clients, and visitors. You will greet, verify information, schedule appointments, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

This on-site role at our Pike County Family Health Center requires strong multitasking, accuracy in data entry, and teamwork with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR/medical office workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
• Verify and update patient information upon arrival.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the EHR system.
• Answer incoming calls and route appropriately.
• Take accurate messages and relay to staff.
• Ensure forms are completed and scanned into the EHR.
• Collect payments and provide receipts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming waiting area and assist as needed.
