Family Health Center – Southwest Indiana seeks a Registration Coordinator I to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the Washington Avenue Family Health Center. You will greet, verify information, schedule in the EHR, collect payments, and support front-desk operations in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

The role requires strong multitasking, excellent communication, and a courteous, professional demeanor, with on-site hours and patient-focused service.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
• Verify and update patient information upon arrival.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments in the EHR.
• Answers incoming calls and route appropriately.
• Take accurate messages and relay to staff.
• Ensure forms are completed and scanned into the EHR.
• Collect payments and provide receipts as needed.
• Monitor the flow of patients in the waiting area.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and practice policies on patient privacy and information security.
• Handle faxing, scanning, and sorting mail as needed.
