Job summary

Wilmington Health is seeking a Patient Representative for a full-time role in Wilmington, NC. You will provide front office support in clinical areas, greeting patients, checking them in and out, and coordinating appointments with professionalism and care.

You will verify demographics and insurance as directed, assist with billing inquiries, and support a cohesive team environment while maintaining accurate schedules and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Flexibility with schedule and arrival times as this would be a traveling position.
• Reliable transportation and valid N.C. Driver’s License.
• Preferred: Experience in Medical Office Administration.
• Preferred: BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges and provides closure to all customer needs in a professional and efficient manner.
• Maintains effective communication with all health care team members.
• Checks patients in and out following SOPs including forms and triage sheets.
• Schedules and reschedules all patient appointments across multiple facilities.
• Answers calls and takes necessary action; maintains provider schedules.
• Assists with other duties to achieve efficiency and a cohesive work environment.
• Follows patient demographic data entry, insurance processes, and cashier processes.
