Mosaic Health, LLC. Davenport Total Primary Care clinic is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to handle front-desk and clerical duties, greet patients, register them, collect payments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation while upholding HIPAA.

You will verify demographics and insurance, coordinate scheduling, assist with referrals, and support the care team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clerical, customer service, or healthcare office experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal communication, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and checks in patients, ensuring accurate demographic/insurance data in the EHR.
• Collects and processes copayments following standard cash-handling procedures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and documents results in patient records.
• Explains check-in processes, insurance requirements, and payment expectations to patients.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and communicates adjustments to clinical staff.
• Processes referrals, appointment ticklers, and medical record release requests promptly.
