Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Davenport, FL, seeks a Patient Care Specialist to provide front-line administrative support in a busy primary care clinic. You will greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment to ensure a smooth patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of clerical, customer service, or healthcare office experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and checks in patients with accurate demographics.
• Collects copayments and handles payments per standard procedures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and documents results in the patient record.
• Provides clear explanations of check-in, insurance, and payment expectations.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and coordinates with clinical staff.
