Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of clerical, customer service, or healthcare office experience.
• Basic knowledge of EHR systems and MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal communication, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and checks in patients, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, consent, and contact data in the EHR.
• Collects and processes copayments following standard cash-handling procedures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and documents results in the patient record.
• Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments; informs staff of changes.
• Processes referrals, requests for medical records, and other clerical tasks.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and safeguards patient information.
• Prepares and manages medical documentation for confidentiality and accuracy.
• Supports billing by reviewing accounts for balances and correcting discrepancies.
• Works independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
