Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a patient registrar on-site to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance details, and guide them to the proper clinic area. The role includes handling co-pays, forms, and driving a positive patient experience.

The candidate will ensure accurate data entry in the EHR, coordinate with staff on delays, and support financial counseling referrals as needed. A healthcare environment familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Business College Certificate preferred.
• Experience with computer data entry, customer service, collections, and EHR preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing/insurance coverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, assist with check-in on the kiosk, and escort to clinical areas.
• Ensure complete and accurate demographic and financial information is entered in the EHR.
• Obtain and collect necessary forms (consent, HIPAA, billing procedures, ABN, etc.).
• Collect patient copayments and reconcile payments daily.
• Provide patient estimates for copay, deductible and coinsurance for services.
• Perform initial financial assistance screening and refer to financial counseling.
• Communicate with clinical staff about appointment delays.
