Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Guest Relations Representative for the Day shift. The role focuses on welcoming patients and families, guiding them through the care process, and coordinating with hospital staff to address needs at the point of service.

With a focus on courteous service and efficient problem-solving, you will support registration, escort services, and referrals while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience (Required).
• Healthcare/hospitality experience (Preferred).
• Experience with basic data entry, filing, photocopying, and providing excellent customer service (Preferred).
• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, visitors and hospital staff to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Verify patient registration and escort patients/guests to destinations using walking or wheelchairs.
• Respond promptly to requests and assist in identifying patient and family needs for referrals and services.
• Record and submit documentation and reports for services provided to patients and families.
