Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Concierge/Support role to coordinate front office operations and assist patients and families with non-medical guidance. Responsibilities include desk coverage, VIP rounds, and liaison with hospital departments to ensure a positive patient experience.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 2-5 years of concierge/front desk experience; a preferred Associate's Degree supports advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years experience in concierge or front desk roles.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to coordinate services and liaise with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs front office duties, takes incoming calls, tracks inventory, compiles data, prepares reports, covers the concierge desks as needed and provides support to concierge volunteers.
• Responsible for providing non-medical guidance and assistance to patients and families. Acts as a communication liaison, to hear and understand a patient’s individual needs, desires, and concerns.
• Visits VIP’s daily and follows up with correspondence upon discharge. Rounds on inpatients ensuring an excellent patient experience.
• Assists and supports orientation and training of new concierge.
• Serves as a link between patients/families and private services to provide additional amenities.
