Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments while supporting provider schedule optimization and cancellations.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data into EMR.
• Maintain understanding of insurance plans and communicate coverage and costs.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for visits to support efficient flow.
• Collect and document charges, co-pays, and payments; support billing and claim submission.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and provider schedules; adjust as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support patient retention via recall and follow-up for appointments.
• Assist in keeping the front office organized and patient-ready.
