Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience or 60 college credits with 4 years of experience.
• Formal training in medical interpretation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets admitted patients and families, explains services and addresses questions about their situation.
• Conducts daily visits on assigned units to determine non-clinical needs and concerns within policy.
• Investigates and facilitates resolution of patient, family, or visitor concerns by engaging with healthcare providers.
• Initiates service recovery and directs inquiries to the appropriate Patient Relations Specialist for resolution.
• Participates in hospital-wide Patient Experience initiatives to improve patient/family experience.
• Documents patient complaints, requests and compliments in the Patient Feedback System and refers patients to appropriate services.
