Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years related education/experience
• RN licensure preferred
• EMT certification preferred
• 3–5 years related experience; customer/patient PR experience preferred
• Maintains required training per GA-057 and department requirements
• Superior listening skills and ability to work under stress
• Positive customer service focused with patient orientation
• Ability to establish effective hospital-team relationships
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and state standards/regulations

Responsibilities

• Communicate information to administration and suggest improvements for a consumer-driven environment.
• Plan and implement volunteer components to support the advocate program.
• Interpret the Patient Advocate role to patients, staff and the community.
