Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years related education/experience
• RN licensure preferred
• EMT certification preferred
• 3–5 years related experience; customer/patient PR experience preferred
• Maintains required training per GA-057 and department requirements
• Superior listening skills and ability to work under stress
• Positive customer service focused with patient orientation
• Ability to establish effective hospital-team relationships
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and state standards/regulations

• Job Summary:
  • Communicate relevant information to administration suggestions for creating a caring, consumer driven environment. When needed, planning and implementing of volunteer component to support the advocate program. Interpret the role of Patient Advocate to patients, staff and community.
• Education:
  • Position requires a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area. RN licensure preferred.
• Registration/Certification/Licensure:
  • EMT certified preferred
• Experience:
  • Position requires 3-5 years related experience. Customer/Patient PR experience preferred.
• Other Requirements:
  • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
