AdventHealth is seeking a Part-time Patient Advocate in Shawnee Mission, KS. The role focuses on supporting patients and families, guiding them through the healthcare system, and improving patient satisfaction.

The position involves collaboration with nursing staff to resolve concerns and ensure compliant handling of complaints. Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, excellent customer service, and familiarity with HIPAA.

Qualifications

English reading/writing required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

Provides support and resources to patients and families to help navigate the healthcare system.
Participates in performance improvement initiatives related to patient care and satisfaction.
Initiates visits with patients to assess perception of hospital services and address issues.
Rectifies issues presented by patients with nursing staff in real time.
Directs complaints and grievances for assessment, processing and resolution.
