Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or three years of experience in a service-oriented organization, preferably healthcare.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated mediation, conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills.
• Computer proficiency in word processing and department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage complaints by patients, families, visitors, staff and other healthcare consumers and work toward resolution.
• Intervene in crisis situations and negotiate resolutions between conflicted parties.
• Proactively round on patients and families while in the hospital.
• Work with nurse manager, physician, nursing staff and other clinical/non-clinical members to resolve complaints.
• Document all complaints, grievances, and interactions in the electronic feedback system and support Quality and Safety with case closure.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff in line with the organization’s values.
