Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a Patient Relations Specialist for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule (9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.). You will serve as the primary liaison for patients and families, resolving concerns and ensuring clear communication with care teams while upholding ADA and privacy standards.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for patients and families, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Investigate complaints and grievances with detailed reviews of patient charts.
• Facilitate meetings between patients, families, and healthcare providers for resolution.
• Provide notary services for patients and families.
• Educate patients about rights, resources, and ADA accommodations.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure compliant, quality patient care.
