Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. You will gather information, relay updates and act as a patient advocate while maintaining confidentiality; you will help with directions, escort services and answering calls.

This role supports communication among patients, families and hospital staff, escalates issues as needed, and ensures lobby areas stay clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Two years minimum experience in consumer advocacy or service role.

Responsibilities

• Giving and collecting information to visitors regarding patient location, condition and treatment progress while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicating between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Advocating by expediting admission and other delays.
• Resolving problems and escalating when necessary.
• Responding to special needs and ensuring needs are met.
• Greeting, directing and escorting visitors and assisting with wheelchairs.
• Answering multi-line phone and transferring callers to appropriate location.
• Overseeing information desks and lobby areas for cleanliness and order.
