Nicklaus Children's Health System in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Patient Guest Rep to support patients and families with exceptional service. The role involves daily rounding, documenting concerns, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include timely communication of hospital services, adherence to policies, and proactive follow-up to close complaints. BLS and CPI certifications are required with CPI within 6 months of hire.

Competenze

• American Heart Association (BLS) certification required and active
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 6 months of hire
• 2-4 years of hospital experience serving patients and families
• Experience handling people in stressful situations
• Fluency in English and Spanish required

Mansioni

• Acknowledges electronic communication and telephone messages within 24 hours of receipt and provides excellent customer service.
• Communicates information regarding hospital services; presents and interprets policy and procedure information to patients and families.
• Documents all interactions with patients on daily rounding logs; notes all complaints within guidelines.
• Follows up with staff to ensure concerns are addressed and complaints are closed.
• Maintains objectivity and keeps communications open between patients, families and staff.
• Supports staff and helps troubleshoot and resolve issues; visits patient units and waiting areas.
• Notates patient/family concerns in daily logs; documents complaints within 24 hours in the system.
• Reports problems to Directors and Administration; informs Risk Management of unusual patient care events.
