Job summary

Valeris is hiring for a patient services role in the United States. You will build trust with patients, explain benefits and coverage, and coordinate program enrollment and resources. The position emphasizes empathetic communication, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a healthcare customer service background, strong communication skills, and bilingual abilities. The role requires an 8.5-hour shift Mon–Fri, with on-site work in Portland, ME.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience; high school diploma or GED accepted
• Customer service and healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
• Commitment to the mission of care coordination
• Professional telephone etiquette and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients, delivering timely and accurate services
• Ensure interactions comply with healthcare laws and regulations
• Discuss benefits, reimbursement and billing information clearly with patients
• Conduct program welcome calls and explain available services
• Utilize motivational interviewing to involve patients in goals
• Handle inbound inquiries and de-escalate situations professionally
• Document patient enrollment and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate shipment of products via patient assistance programs
• Provide education on products, coverage benefits, and out-of-pocket costs
• Identify and refer patients to internal or external resources as needed
