Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC. This full-time role involves supporting patient meals, menu selections, and meal delivery to units with a focus on safety and patient satisfaction.

Three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift, rotating weekends. Previous patient services experience required. Pay range is $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural or religious preferences, or extra selections.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
