Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Moncks Corner, SC, is hiring a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at the Roper St Francis Berkeley facility. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble, deliver and pick up meal trays, and ensure dietary requirements are met.

Experience in patient dining is required. This role requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, basic English literacy, and computer skills to support the workflow. Shifts are 12 hours with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural preferences, or additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays from rooms on schedule.
• Comply with regulator standards including HIPAA; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Adhere to infection control policies and department procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
