Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring for Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) in Charleston, SC. The role supports meal service on the unit, helps patients select meals, assembles and delivers trays, and ensures food safety and patient comfort.

The position is part-time with 2:00 pm–7:30 pm shifts. Requires 1 year of patient dining experience and English literacy. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, preferences, or restrictions.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s selection and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and HIPAA policies for safety and privacy.
• Support dietitians by monitoring patients on specific diets as needed.
