Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for full-time shifts at MUSC Health Chester, SC. The role involves assisting patients with menu selections, assembling and delivering trays, and ensuring meals meet dietary requirements and safety standards.

Hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays with a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Training is available and online applications are accepted.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing for dietary requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow regulatory standards and HIPAA policies to protect patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and maintain clean work stations and equipment.
• Support infection control policies within the department.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets or specific calorie counts.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly and through proper channels.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
