Job summary

Fairview East Bank University Hospital is seeking a Nutrition Service Aide to support patient meals and communicate dietary needs to nursing staff and the nutrition services team. The role involves guiding customers through the room service process by phone and coordinating with hospital staff on diet orders.

Location is Minneapolis, with an evening part-time schedule. The position emphasizes excellent customer service, basic math, and clear written and verbal communication in English.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Explain diet orders to patients or staff.
• Be knowledgeable about nutrients in foods and dietary needs.
• Understand modified diets and culturally appropriate food choices.
• Identify foods relative to patient allergies and therapeutic diets.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, nursing staff, and nutrition services.
