Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a Nutrition Services Attendant to assist in delivering high-quality meals and nutritional care to hospital patients and guests. You’ll take meal orders in person or by phone, deliver trays, and assist at the bedside with menu selections.

The role uses Epic and CBORD software, requires clear English communication, and may involve floor inventory and general cleaning. It is a 0.6 FTE with Day/Eve shifts and a possible remote/hybrid option.

Qualifications

• Ability to use computers and learn specialized computer software (Epic, CBORD).
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively in English.
• Food service or retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, takes meal orders, serves trays and supplements.
• Liaises between patient and Registered Dietitian for questions about diet.
• Keeps up-to-date on menu items, diet restrictions, and explains items to patients.
• Maintains visibility on nursing units and performs floor inventory and cleaning.
• Performs duties as assigned to support nutrition services.
