Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Nutrition Services Aide for the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The role involves preparing and portioning meals, assembling patient trays, and serving meals in cafeterias and doctors dining rooms.

Responsibilities include HACCP-compliant handling of food, sanitation of equipment and work areas, and serving customers while respecting cultural differences. Evening shifts run Monday through Friday across two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
• Plates and serves food.
• Handles and stores food per HACCP SOPs.
• Sanitizes equipment and work areas per schedules.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes and utensils.
• Serves customers in cafeterias and other non-patient locations.
• Provides culturally appropriate care and service.
