Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Nutrition Services Aide for the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The role involves preparing and portioning meals, assembling patient trays, and serving meals in cafeterias and doctors dining rooms.

Responsibilities include HACCP-compliant handling of food, sanitation of equipment and work areas, and serving customers while respecting cultural differences. Evening shifts run Monday through Friday across two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Washes and sanitizes dishes and utensils.

Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide to join our team at our Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The Nutrition Services Aide prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays.

Schedule

Week 1

• Monday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Tuesday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Wednesday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Thursday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Friday: 3:30PM-8:30PM

Week 2

• Monday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Tuesday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Wednesday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Thursday: 3:30PM-8:30PM
• Friday: 3:30PM-8:30PM

Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
• Plates and serves food.
• Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operation procedures.
• Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Serves customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language. Basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications
