Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a patient meal coordinator within our hospital food service. You will act as the key contact between nutrition and patients, obtain meal orders, orient patients to Room Service, and explain the menu, diet orders, and how to speak with a dietitian.

You will deliver meals, collect trays, record intake for calorie counts, process diet changes, document allergies, intolerances and food interactions, and balance nutrients using our software.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills for direct patient interaction.
• Experience with food service in hospital or related environment preferred.
• Ability to multitask, route calls, greet patients, place orders, and troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Self-directed, independent work style with minimal supervision.
• Maintains a friendly demeanor and excellent phone etiquette.

Responsabilités

• Acts as key contact between food and nutrition and the patient following scripting and customer service standards.
• Delivers meals and collects patient trays, records intake for calorie counts, and resolves patient concerns.
• Processes diet changes, documents allergies and interactions, and balances nutrients per diet orders.
• Maintains patient information, runs missed meal and other reports, and communicates issues to management.
• Generates reports and communicates report information; collaborates with line expeditor to balance ticket flow.
• Loads and transports food carts, delivers trays to patient rooms, and stocks units and lounges.
• Communicates patient needs to food/nutrition and nursing services; follows safety and sanitation standards.
