Job summary

Responsibilities

• Acts as key contact person between food and nutrition and the patient. Obtains patient meal orders via call center or bedside following scripting and customer service standards.
• Delivers meals and collects patient trays after meals. Records intake for patient calorie counts.
• Receives and processes diet changes throughout the day and documents allergies, intolerances, and preferences; balances nutrients per diet orders.
• Maintains patient information; reports quality issues to management and to a registered dietitian.
• Generates multiple reports and communicates report information; balances ticket flow with the line expeditor.
• Loads and transports food carts; delivers patient meal trays to patient rooms and stocks nursing units and lounges.
• Communicates patient needs to relevant departments and follows safety and sanitation standards.
• Inventories and orders floor stock supplies on patient units.
