Job summary

Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a dedicated Food & Nutrition patient services teammate. You will take patient meal orders, orient patients to room service, coordinate with nursing and dietitians, and ensure accurate meal delivery and intake documentation.

The role requires at least 1 year of face-to-face customer service, hospital food service knowledge, and strong communication. Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule; the shift runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 40 hours

Qualifications

Typically requires 1 year of experience in performing face-to-face customer service.
Strong knowledge in hospital food service or related environment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, route calls, greet patients, place orders, and troubleshoot issues.
Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Acts as key contact between food and nutrition and the patient; obtain meal orders via call center or bedside.
Delivers meals and collects patient trays; documents intake for calories and fluid.
Receives and processes diet changes; documents allergies, preferences, and diet orders.
Uses software to balance nutrients per physician diet orders and patient allergies.
Loads/transports food carts; delivers and stocks patient meals to units.
