Job summary

UPMC Horizon – Greenville is seeking a Food Service Attendant to join the Nutrition Services Team in a full-time capacity. You will work to create a positive dining experience for patients and visitors, with shifts scheduled between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work various shifts (including weekends/holidays)
• Must follow health and safety guidelines per state and local authorities
• Must be willing to obtain necessary permits if under 18 years old
• Act 34 licensure or clearances may be required by the facility

Responsibilities

• Ensures necessary food and service equipment/utensils are secured before meal service.
• Adheres to procedures for operation of food service equipment.
• Stocks bulk supplies as needed and serves patient meals per script.
• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders and patient requirements.
• Maintains food safety and quality per health department guidelines.
• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures.
• Performs sanitation for the assigned work area.
