Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking part-time Patient Dining aides in the Food and Nutrition Department. The role involves taking patient meal orders, delivering trays, and ensuring meals meet diet orders.

Must be able to work AM and PM shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires ServSafe certification within 90 days and High School Diploma or GED. Prior food service and customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient dietary orders and special diets.
• Must attain ServSafe Certification and pass Patient Dining test within 90 days.
• Ability to read and follow meal tickets and diet orders.

Responsibilities

• Take patient meal orders and deliver trays.
• Review tray tickets and assemble meals.
• Deliver meals to patient rooms and collect trays.
• Communicate with nursing and dietary staff regarding meals and special requests.
• Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices.
