Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate II for Plaza West Tower. You will take patient meal orders, deliver meals, and support diet accuracy while training new staff. This full-time role includes rotating weekends/holidays and a daily pay option.

The department serves patients and staff with a focus on safety and nutrition, offering growth opportunities and strict adherence to diet orders and allergies.

Qualifications

• Ensures the patient receives the correct diet as ordered by the physician.
• Screens food allergens and modified diets as appropriate.
• Must attain ServSafe Certification and pass Patient Dining test within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Taking Patient Meal Orders.
• Delivering Meals to Patients.
• Reviews tray tickets, assembles meals, delivers meals and retrieves all soiled meal trays.
• Monitors galley/floor stock and par levels; rotates stock and dates or discards as needed.
• Teaches Standard Work and meal delivery standards to new associates; assists with training.
• Communicates meal timing, diet, and special requests to nursing staff and patients.
