Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is hiring a Patient Dining Associate II to support patient meals and nutrition services. You will take patient meal orders, ensure diet accuracy, and deliver meals to patients on a rotating schedule across hospital units.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within the Food and Nutrition Department. Responsibilities include assisting with training, maintaining proper food handling procedures, and collaborating with nursing staff to meet patient dietary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with patient dining and food service preferred.
• ServSafe certification required within 90 days.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient meal orders and confirms dietary restrictions.
• Delivers meals to patients and collects trays.
• Reviews tray tickets and assembles meals per diet orders.
• Monitors stock levels and assists with inventory control.
• Assists with training new Patient Dining associates and adheres to standard work.
