Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE - DIETARY AIDE positions.
• Location: Novant Health Rowan Medical Center - 612 Mocksville Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time, days may vary from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, including alternating weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirements: Previous experience as a dietary aide, in customer service, or in fast food is preferred but not required.
• Pay Range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They ensure meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety and satisfaction standards, contributing to patient care and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Work with the culinary team to accommodate food allergies, cultural, religious, or personal preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleanliness.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets or with specific nutritional needs.
• Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
• Follow infection control and sanitation policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
