PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions.
• Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center - 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27103. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time; days may vary, 6:30 am to 8:00 pm. Twelve-hour shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior patient dining experience is preferred but not required. Willing to train!

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, helping patients select, assemble, deliver, and pick up meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate meals at the right time and temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with menu selections, ensuring compliance with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, religious preferences, or additional inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and timely, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards, and adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
• Report concerns or issues with patients promptly.
• Complete required reports as per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Follow health, sanitation, and infection control regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
