Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with menu selections, ensuring dietary restrictions are met in collaboration with nursing.
• Coordinate with culinary staff to accommodate allergies, cultural preferences, or special requests.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and follow confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians by monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
• Report issues promptly and complete necessary documentation.
• Follow sanitation regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds and push food carts.
