Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at CHS Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX. The role involves helping patients with menu selections, assembling meals, and delivering trays, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and customer service. Previous related experience is preferred.

The fixed pay rate is $11.50 per hour. Applicants should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work variable days and hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets and communicate issues promptly.
