Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Christus Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, TX. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support safety/quality standards throughout meal service.

Open AM/PM shifts with potential for varied hours. Prior dietary aide experience preferred. Pay range $15.00–$16.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Proficient with basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner; retrieve trays from rooms on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards; uphold HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and keeping work stations clean.
