Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a full-time role at Nacogdoches Medical Center in TX. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meal trays, and help ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines.

The role requires English literacy, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Schedule varies; pay ranges from $13.50 to $14.00 per hour with full benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies and dietary preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms on time.
• Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations and breaking down the tray line.
• Assist dietitians with patients on restricted diets or calorie counts as directed.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
