Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Viera Hospital, Melbourne, FL. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and help ensure nutritional requirements are met while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Previous customer service or food service experience is preferred. The role requires teamwork, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and adherence to HIPAA and HACCP

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies and dietary needs; consider cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and HIPAA policies; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
