Job summary

IU Health Riley Hospital in Indianapolis seeks a concierge-level helper to greet patients and visitors and provide information and directions within the hospital and affiliated facilities.

The role requires high-energy customer service with the ability to walk extensively and engage with diverse guests, working evenings and weekends as needed. Previous healthcare exposure is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
• Flexibility to work at different locations as needed.
• Comfortable initiating and engaging in conversations with patients, families, and visitors.
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift, including walking 10,000–15,000 steps per day.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming and professional representative of the organization.
• Engage with a large volume of patients, families, and visitors, we average 1,500–2,000 interactions each day
• Utilize computer systems efficiently to access and communicate information.
• Escort patients and family members to various locations throughout the hospital.
• Assist out-of-town and out-of-state visitors by providing information about the hospital, local community, and surrounding resources
