Somerset Gynecology & Obstetrics is seeking a full-time Receptionist to join their growing team in Troy, MI. The receptionist serves as a brand ambassador, greeting patients in person and on the phone, and uses the EHR system to register visits and schedule appointments.

Responsibilities include collecting insurance information, verifying eligibility, handling check-out duties, and coordinating referrals with providers.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• 6 months previous medical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Must be detailed orientated and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greeting every patient with a smile.
• Completing and updating patients' insurance information accurately.
• Utilize the EHR system to register and facilitate visits with providers.
• Assist with checkout and scheduling of future appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility for timely billing.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles as directed.
• Answer phone lines and manage email appointment requests.
