Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a Guest Services representative to emulate and uphold customer service standards across the medical center. You will serve as a liaison for patients, guests, and staff, resolving issues and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure a caring, safe, and informative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years of hospital experience in a high-contact customer service area or two years of comparable customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing customer service standards and procedures.
• Serve as a resource person for hospital associates and guests in customer service matters and act as guest advocate.
• Develop and implement customer service excellence standards to meet and exceed expectations.
• Partner with all team members in Guest Services and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Act as liaison between guests and hospital areas to direct to appropriate services and resolve issues.
• Conduct rounds on inpatient units to ensure service quality and respond to concerns.
• Attend meetings and assist in evaluation and action plan design for service improvements.
• Provide information and support to guests, associates, and partners as needed.
