Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Guest Support Services Representative to staff the front desk and call center. You will greet patients and visitors, issue passes, and help direct inquiries, while coordinating with clinical teams to support hospital operations.

Role involves rotating desk assignments, handling emergency and time-sensitive calls, and ensuring confidentiality according to hospital policies. High School diploma and 1–2 years' related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a reception or call center.
• Excellent communication and courtesy in person and on the phone.
• Ability to protect patient privacy and HIPAA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet patients and visitors professionally.
• Transfer calls and provide room or visitor information as needed.
• Issue visitor passes and escort visitors to Emergency Room when required.
• Request Uber rides for patients and discharged individuals as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of departments and direct inquiries accordingly.
