CNS Healthcare is seeking a Front Desk Representative/Medical Receptionist in Detroit, MI to be the warm first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will verify information in the electronic health record, collect copays, and coordinate appointments while maintaining a welcoming front desk environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate data entry, and collaboration with the care team to support patients and operations. Prior experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in customer service or public-facing role.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and basic computer use.
• Valid driver's license and transportation accessibility.
• Commitment to an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in persons served, verify and update information in the electronic health record and collect copays as needed.
• Check-out individuals served and schedule appointments.
• Collect and document insurance information.
• Assist with coordinating transportation and other services for persons served.
• Maintain the reception area and lobby in a neat, welcoming manner.
• Review and update information in the EHR system as needed.
• Reference and maintain agency resources such as calendars, schedules, directories, and rosters.
• Provide coverage and support of other Customer Care Team functions and locations as needed.
• Maintain compliance with quality care initiatives and regulatory requirements (HIPAA included).
