Job summary

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists, a growing cancer care organization in Suffolk County, seeks a Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Float. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule visits, and manage daily finances while maintaining HIPAA privacy and EMR records.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2+ years in patient-facing reception; bilingual EN/ES preferred. Occasional travel to Riverhead, Patchogue, Setauket, and nearby offices is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; 2+ years in patient-facing reception
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to follow directions and work in a team
• Strong customer service skills; bilingual EN/ES preferred
• 1 year EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant, professional manner
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments
• Collect co-pays and balance daily finances
• Assist patients with forms and documentation
• Maintain patient records in the EMR system
• Coordinate physician schedules and office operations
• Float to multiple NYCBS offices as needed
• Protect patient privacy per HIPAA guidelines
