Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Hospital Customer Service Representative / Patient Concierge to warmly welcome visitors in the hospital lobby and waiting areas. You will answer questions, provide directions, and support families while maintaining patient privacy.

The role involves wheelchair assistance, escorting patients, and collaborating with Patient Relations, Social Work, Chaplain Services, and Security to resolve issues and improve the patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to problem-solve by critically evaluating information and implementing effective solutions.
• A proactive approach to quality improvement and operational efficiency.
• Experience in a healthcare or similar customer service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and patients in the hospital lobby and surgical waiting areas.
• Provide directions, answer questions, and facilitate communication between families and clinical teams.
• Coordinate waiting room activities and monitor patient status updates when appropriate.
• Assist with visitor management and connect patients with support services across departments.
