Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a patient-focused Operator to manage switchboard operations for patients and provider offices. You will triage calls, route messages, and document details to support timely follow-up across departments.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced office while maintaining confidentiality and a compassionate approach to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology are advantageous.
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and efficient ticketing processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume inbound calls via multi-line phone system and direct to proper departments.
• Triages calls by urgency and documents messages accurately for follow-up.
• Transfer calls and create tickets with relevant details for departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with patients and families professionally.
• Support hospital consults and coordinate with care teams as needed.
